In Search Of...

Hi everyone and happy Monday!  I am looking to collect paper towel tubes for a math activity.  If you have any at home and would be willing to send them in it would be much appreciated!  Thank you.

Chinese New Year

We were so fortunate today to have Zoe and her Mom teach us about Chinese New Year! We listened to a story, watched a couple of videos, made a lantern, ate treats, and even received a special red envelope with a quarter inside (brings good fortune for the year)! Thank you so much Zoe and Mrs. Young!

School Meeting

Seesaw for Blogging

For a week now we have been exploring and using a wonderful app/website called  'seesaw'. This app allows students to creat a portfolio of their work. Soon we will be sharing our work online with you at home!

Four Winds

In Four Winds our class had an opportunity to learn about and explore pine cones. We even got to take one home!

Using Kelsoe's Strategies

In guidance, first grade students have gotten really good at determining the difference between big and small problems. They have also practiced a variety of strategies for solving 'small' problems.
